The conference will convene at Spier Wine Estate, Stellenbosch.
HOW TO GET TO SPIER
- Follow N1 towards Paarl.
- Take Stellenbosch turn-off (Exit 39).
- Continue along the R304 for approximately 13 km.
- Upon entering Stellenbosch, turn right at the 3rd traffic light into Adam Tas Road.
- Continue along this road for 4.6 km towards Somerset West. (The railway will be on your right).
- Turn left into Blaauwbergklippen Rd, (The ENGEN garage will be on your left) and then a sharp right into Canterbury Lane.

LANGUAGE
The official language of the conference will be English. No simultaneous translation service will be provided.
EXHIBITIONS
Exhibitors will be located in the Foyer and Lounge at Spier Conference Centre. Companies and suppliers will exhibit their latest innovations in the Infection field, give demonstrations and will be available to answer questions. You will have ample opportunity to visit the exhibitions during refreshment breaks.
ADMISSION NAMETAGS
Conference nametags must be worn by all participants at all times during the conference and on all conference premises. Nametags should also be worn when attending the events of the social program. Only participants or accompanying persons wearing their conference nametags will be admitted to the scientific sessions and the social events.
CREDIT CARDS
Major credit cards (American Express, Diners Club, Mastercard, Visa) are accepted in most hotels, restaurants and shops. A 5% administration fee will be charged on all credit card transactions.
TAX
Tax of 14% is charged in South Africa. Most prices shown are normally including TAX – please check this beforehand.
INTERNATIONAL DELEGATES
Please ensure that you have a minimum of three blank pages in your passport prior to entry into South Africa for immigration purposes. Please also ensure that your passport is valid for a minimum of six months from the date of arrival in South Africa.
Kindly contact your local travel agency to find out if there are any visa requirements to visit South Africa. Travelers entering South Africa from countries where yellow fever is endemic are required to present their World Health organization (WHO) vaccination record or other proof of inoculation.
ELECTRICITY
The electricity supply in South Africa is 220/230 volts, AC 50 Hz. Please ensure that you bring the correct converter for your electrical equipment.
INSURANCE
The congress organizers cannot accept liability for personal injuries sustained, or for loss of, or damage to, property belonging to congress participants (or their accompanying persons), either during or as a result of the congress. Please check the validity of your own insurance.
